Today\u2019s Devotional<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When I worked as a young reporter, my press pass felt like a golden key. It opened doors to stadiums, locker rooms, and interviews with people most fans could only dream of meeting. I loved the access it gave me\u2014until I realized that the real access I needed wasn\u2019t to celebrities, but to God Himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After surrendering my life to Jesus, I learned that no earthly credential could compare to what He offered me: direct access to the throne room of heaven. No waiting list, no qualifications\u2014just grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Old Testament, only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place once a year to offer sacrifices on behalf of the people of Israel.  A heavy curtain symbolized the distance between God and humanity. But when Jesus died, that curtain tore in two (Matthew 27:51). The barrier was gone. Through Christ, we can now come boldly to God\u2014not as strangers or servants, but as beloved children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This access isn\u2019t just for perfect days. It\u2019s for the messy ones, too\u2014for the moments when shame, fear, or failure whisper that we don\u2019t belong. That\u2019s exactly when grace invites us closer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayer isn\u2019t about earning an audience with God\u2014it\u2019s about remembering we already have one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Father, thank You that through Jesus I can come directly to You.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I hesitate, remind me that Your grace has already opened the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The writer of Hebrews presents Jesus as our \u201cgreat high priest\u201d (4:14)\u2014fully human, yet without sin. Because He experienced temptation and suffering, He understands our weakness. That\u2019s why His invitation to \u201ccome boldly\u201d isn\u2019t a command\u2014it\u2019s a comfort. The One who sits on the throne of grace also knelt in the garden of sorrow for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
