\u201cWhen he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, \u2018Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simon answered, \u2018Master, we\u2019ve worked hard all night and haven\u2019t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.\u2019\u201d \u2014 Luke 5:4\u20135<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today\u2019s Devotional<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Peter was tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He had spent the entire night fishing with nothing to show for it\u2014just empty nets and weary hands. Then Jesus, a carpenter by trade, told him to try again. From a human perspective, it made no sense. The timing was wrong, the place was wrong, and Peter already knew the outcome\u2014or so he thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet in that moment, Peter chose to obey: \u201cBecause You say so.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That small decision opened the door to a miracle so large their nets nearly broke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Help me see that every step of surrender leads me closer to You. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
