Day 26 — Serving Like Jesus

Scripture:

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” — Mark 10:45

A figure stands by a large wooden cross beneath a stormy sky. Nearby, one person washes anothers feet, while three people sit near a waterfall and share bread. Flowers bloom in the foreground.

Today’s Devotional

In a world that often measures success by status, influence, or wealth, Jesus flipped the definition of greatness entirely.

True greatness isn’t about being served—it’s about serving.

Jesus came not to be served but to give His life for others. His example shows us that humility, compassion, and selflessness are marks of His kingdom.

Serving like Jesus doesn’t require grand gestures. Sometimes it’s as simple as a listening ear, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement.

When we serve with a humble heart, we mirror Christ’s love.

Our actions become more than good deeds—they become reflections of His character, spreading hope and grace wherever we go.

Reflect & Pray

Reflect:

Where can you serve others this week without expecting recognition?

How might serving with humility draw you closer to Christ?

Pray:

Lord Jesus, teach me to serve like You.

Give me a humble heart and a willing spirit.

Help me see opportunities to bless others and point them to Your love. Amen.

Today’s Insight

Mark 10:45 reminds us that service is at the heart of Christian leadership.

Jesus’ life was a model of servant leadership—His power expressed through love, sacrifice, and humility.

When we embrace a servant’s heart, we participate in God’s work in the world, embodying His kingdom values in tangible ways.
