Scripture:
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32

Today’s Devotional
A friend once hurt me deeply. Words were said that I couldn’t forget. For a long time, I replayed the moment in my mind—hoping for an apology that never came.
Then one day, during prayer, God whispered something unexpected: “You don’t forgive because they deserve it. You forgive because I forgave you first.”
Forgiveness doesn’t minimize the pain; it releases it into God’s hands.
It’s a sacred act of trust—believing that God’s justice and mercy are greater than your own. Holding onto bitterness is like carrying a stone in your heart; it weighs you down until you can no longer move forward. But when you forgive, you hand that stone to Jesus—and He replaces it with peace.
Forgiveness is not weakness. It’s grace in motion.
And every time you choose it, you reflect the heart of Christ.
Reflect & Pray
Reflect:
Who is God inviting you to forgive today?
What might change in your heart if you finally let go?
Pray:
Father, thank You for forgiving me through Jesus.
Help me to extend that same grace to others, even when it’s hard.
Heal the wounds I’ve carried and teach me to walk in love again. Amen.
Today’s Insight
Paul’s command in Ephesians 4:32 flows from the gospel itself—our forgiveness is rooted in God’s mercy toward us.
Forgiving others isn’t about forgetting the past; it’s about living free from its power. True forgiveness transforms both the giver and the receiver, reminding us that grace always has the final word.
